Lucie Nekulova

Lucie Nekulova

Born 1978

I took my first walking steps in the nineties of the last century and the first start in the MČR žactva in 1993 in the hall meant winning the title. In the summer, the title was not awarded to me due to lack of registration, but the annoyance of this situation meant that I signed up to walk.

A whole series of championship medals in different age categories, representative starts came. In 2000, we were the last Czech champion in the 10 km (49:33) on the then demanding Poděbrady track, then the 2000-somethings started going around in the Czech lands as well. In 1, I also became the first Czech woman with a sub 40:00:20 time for XNUMX km, which allowed me to start at the EP in a team with Czech walking legend Dana Vavřačová.

Then work duties came, but I followed the Czech walk with interest. After returning to the Czech Republic, I joined Jan Rein's team in 2021, when this unbeatable and unfortunately underappreciated organizer accepted me into the party for the "Poděbrady team". At the turn of 2022/2023, I wrote the first article for Smola chůze after it became clear that Dr. Brandejský would most likely not write any more articles about Czech races. Like Jan Rein before him, walking lover Josef Smola accepted the helping hand without reservation.

I became a member of AC Rumburk and it is an honor to cooperate with those walking fools in the organization of the race in Zittau. I also appreciate the fact that I was able to contribute to Pep's Prague Clock in the last two years, and I look forward to the next years. I then go out for sports in a jersey with pride"Smola chůze".

I like those who play fair.

Josef Smola

Josef Smola

Born 17.7. 1964 in Prague,

active competitor, sponsor, race organizer Pražská chodecká hodinovka, founder of the association SMOLA CHŮZE zs

The goal is medals at the Veteran World and European Championships, breaking personal records and thus yourself and sports philosophy is given: "It's not important to win, but to behave well."

He started walking at the age of fifteen in AC Prague (1979-1988) with the legendary coach Josef Průcha, then moved to Red Star Prague (today's Olymp Prague), where he worked in 1988-1995 at the Center for Top Sports as a sports instructor and achieved the following results :
Champion of the Czech Republic: 1988 and 1989 in walking at 50km, 1990 in walking at 20km.
Champion of Switzerland: 1990 in walking on 100km 9: 40.16h
Represented in 3 international matches
He ended his career as a top athlete in 1995 at the Walking World Cup in Beijing, China, on a 50km walk.

In the years 1996 - 2009 he only sporadically engaged in walking and only occasionally took part in walking races with essentially no training. This corresponds to the weight achieved at that time, well over 100 kg ………
In 2009, however, he meets the very active and successful veteran pedestrian Czech-American Zdenek Gonsiorovský (born 1941), who reawakens his appetite and will for a hard and systematic walking training.
Only such training based on the limit of self-sacrifice and great will can bring great results and performances, and these really come naturally, but only after almost nine years of this hard and unreal hard work.

Since 2010, he has been taking part in the first big veteran races, namely the 20km walk of the European Championships in Nyiregyhaz, Hungary, followed every year by the veteran World or European Championships, and sometimes there is a bonus in the form of a medal!

The SMOLA CHŮZE sports association was founded in 2011 Josef Smola, Jaroslav Riederer a Jan Hadrava.

From the very beginning of its activity, the association has been an athletic club registered with the Czech Athletic Association.

They created a membership base and at the same time became the first athletes of the association Josef SmolaLenka Borovičková Peter Adam, all three are, from the very beginning, regular participants and "collectors" of medals from top veteran competitions - World Championships, European Championships, Europa Challenge and belong to the absolute world leader in their veteran categories. Thus, they are also an engine and a model for their younger followers.

I like and am interested in sports walking as an athletic discipline, so here you will be able to watch how dreams and plans come true!

I couldn't look at it anymore the moment you did Anežka Drahotová she chooses her share of bad luck and problems, there is no one who would at least partially represent her in terms of results. That was the moment when I said to myself that if I want Czech walking to become competitive, I must unite and support smart and successful people with the same interest, and we must immediately stop debating wildly and start doing something.

In 2016 Ivo Piták (professional coach of the sports center of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the coach of the Jilemnice sports gymnasium) became the coach of Josef Smola and at the same time joined the association with his entire walking group led by Anežka Drahotová. At this time, a set of rules for the proper functioning of the Czech summit walk with a working title was also created "VISION WALK 2020".

In the years 2016–2021, the company was SMOLA KONSTRUKCE general partner and sponsor of the Poděbrady Walking Races - PODĚBRADY WALKING and at the same time one of the main sponsors of the Czech Athletic Association.

In 2021 he was Josef Smola, entrusted by the chairman of the Czech Athletics Association, Libor Varhaník, with the leadership of the Czech top walking in order to consolidate the Czech walking and create a functional and cooperative unit headed by representative coaches and management staff for the period 2021-2025.
Despite maximum daily efforts, this functional unit has not yet been created. The reason is fundamental differences of opinion on the issues of leadership and functioning of the Czech pedestrian representation, Czech walking as a whole or mutual relations in general, which proved to be blocking further development, so that only a narrow encapsulated group of the so-called "chosen" is not favored, without the possibility of dialogue with other groups and those interested in Czech walking.
To this day, unfortunately, everything remains "the same", because the current management of the Czech pedestrian representation, in its bloatedness, incompetence and mainly in the interest of defending its well-paid positions and "warm places" (with state money!!!), uses subversive methods, promotes frogmen wars over respect, humility and decent behavior and favors where it suits and harasses those where it benefits. All this to the great detriment of Czech walking and in complete contradiction to the statutes of SMOLA WALK.

For the above reasons, in 2021 the company SMOLA KONSTRUKCE terminates all sponsorship contracts and terminates all advertising activities and support related to the Czech national team and the Czech Athletics Association. At the same time, quite logically, Josef Smola ends his cooperation with Ivo Piták.

He will join the association in 2022 Lucie Nekulova unencumbered by the aforementioned relationship problems and thus brings "fresh wind into the sails".

Josef Smola during his professional competition in the first half of the 50s, he achieved excellent results: 3km walk: personal record 59:48:1990h (1995), participation in the World Walking Cup in Beijing, China (100), 9km walk: Czech record 40:17:1990 (20 Rivera near Lugano), 1 km walk: personal record 29:40:50. In the MASTERS M30 category, he holds the Czech record in walking for 2 km 49:32:19.5.2018 (ME Alicante 2010). At the same time, he won a total of 2023 medals in the MASTERS categories at the European and World Championships in the years 5-1 (3x silver and 30x bronze at 1km and 3.000x bronze at XNUMXm)

So we are already the umpteenth generation of the group, and in any case we have the ambition to be the best. We have motivation and a great desire to succeed, he has experience, knowledge and, so far, enough strength. This connection gives us a chance to succeed in the sports world and on the international field. Our philosophy is given by the statement:

"It is not important to win, but to behave decently"

Žofka, Balšán, Doležal, Moc, Bílek, Vavřačová, Dibelková, Drahotová and in recent years Martínková - these are just the main names associated with performances that had and have a sound in European and world walking! And if we want other followers to follow in their footsteps, we cannot expect that an excellent walker will appear out of nowhere somewhere in Bohemia. Chattering won't make it appear!

The SMOLA CHůZE association offers cooperation to coaches and competitors (walkers) so that they can set out again in the world and Europe under the banner of the association. The effort and help of the association includes all categories. From the smallest to veterans.

The SMOLA CHŮZE association is also the organizer of important walking competitions in the Czech Republic:

  • International Prague One Hour Track Walking - International Prague One Hour Track Walking
  • LUSATIAN INTERNATIONAL RACE WALKING MEETING ZITTAU - MČR in walking for 35km, MS MASTERS for 30km walking

In organizing and organizing races, we cooperate very closely with AC PRAHA 1890 headed by Kateřina Kautská and with AC Rumburk headed by Honza Rein and Lucía Nekulová.
The partner of the SMOLA CHůZE association is the company SMOLA KONSTRUKCE s.r.o., which is also the general partner and sponsor of popular walking races:

The premiere championship of men and women in walking for 35 kilometers took place in Banská Bystrica. Vít Hlaváč and Tereza Ďurdiaková won the titles. The hero of the Czech Championship is Martin Nedvídek.

The 35-kilometer walking race is a new championship discipline and will replace the current 24 in men's and women's categories at major international events. The Czech Athletic Association officially announced this championship very late, until September 2021, 3, ie only XNUMX weeks before the event itself. And so those who considered participating or eventually registered and did not have a chance to properly prepare for this MČR, unlike the narrow encapsulated Czech Republic repre group, which knew about this race in early August and which unfortunately with the general walking public through she does not communicate her representative (Kateřina Čermáková) at all, unless we include the communication of her charges on social networks, which, however, cannot be considered serious.

Nedvídek Banská BystricaBack to own plant:

Vít Hlaváč and Tereza Ďurdiaková won the titles. Despite the competition of Slovak and Hungarian rivals, it clearly dominated the women's race Tereza Ďurdiaková at 2:51:50, thus cutting 5 minutes and 18 seconds from her Poděbrady time. To the two championship titles out of her twenties, she has now added the first one on the 35-kilometer track, which she had previously heard that could be even closer to her than twenty. With an overview, she also met the nomination requirements for the start at the World Championships in Eugene and at the European Championships in Munich. She is already qualified for both events for the 20-kilometer race. Only after Tereza did she finish in time 2:52:21 Hungarian Viktória Madarászová a the third was 3:08:43 Slovak champion Hana Burzalová. Jana Zikmundová achieved the second best performance in the Czech Republic Championship (3:25:08). Two-time medalist from this year's junior international tops Eliška Martínková did not finish the race. The same fate befell the best Slovak pedestrian Mária Czaková.

The men's race was dominated by the Slovak champion Miroslav Úradník at 2:37:32. Of the Czechs, the second was the best Vít Hlaváč, who thanks to the performance of 2:45:25 won the premier title of champion of the Czech Republic on this track. RESULTS / ERGEBNISSE

Dear friends,

we would like to comment on the situation of the PITCH OF WALKING and the activities of Ivo Piták.

question 1Although PAST WALKING has worked with Ivo Piták in the past, our paths have diverged and our activities are currently divided. The reason is fundamental differences of opinion on fundamental issues such as the management and functioning of the Czech pedestrian representation, the Czech walking as a whole or mutual relations in general, which have proved to block further development since this winter, so that only a narrow encapsulated group of so-called "chosen ", without the possibility of dialogue with other groups and those interested in Czech walking.

Ivo Piták also has a number of activitieswhich have nothing to do with the PITCH WALKING activity and they are not PITTEN WALKED or protected in any way.

PAST OF WALKING thus ends his cooperation with Ivo Piták. and hereby thanks him for the past cooperation.

At the same time, with this step, PITCH WALKING adjusts its basic philosophy from the original "It's not important to participate, it's to win." "It's not important to win, it's to be polite."

We are the organizer and general partner of the international walking races "OLOMOUCKÁ DVACÍTKA".

We have been cooperating very successfully in this historic and traditional race since its 45th year, which took place in 2011, ie for almost ten years!

The "Olomoucká dvacítka" plant in Smetanovy sady in Olomouc has a long tradition.

DSC 4437 Ol. 20 2019Historically, the first year dates back to August 27, 8 and very quickly this race gained in popularity. Alois Lajčík, Václav Dostalík and Jaroslav Bráblík were the biggest promoters of the race in the post-war period. These competitors were among the leading Czechoslovak pedestrians. In the mid-1967s, TJ Lokomotiva Olomouc created the conditions for them to organize their own walking race. In cooperation with the organizers Jaroslav Polák and František Dvořák, they managed to hold the first year in 1967.

They chose Smetana's Gardens as the venue for the race, the venue of the international flower exhibitions Flora Olomouc, which together with the ideal circuit in the park environment create a unique atmosphere of the race. That is why the race is sought after not only by ours, but mainly by leading foreign pedestrians.

Legends of Czechoslovak and international walking regularly took part in the race today: Jozef Pribilinec, Pavol Blažek, Roman Mrázek, Juraj Benčík, Alexander Bílek, Václav Dostalík, Ivo Piták, Miloš Holuša, Jaroslav Makovec, Miloslav Lapka, Jana Smolová-Zárubová, Dana Vavřačová, Viera Toporek from Austria, Gunhild Kristensen from Denmark.

In the modern era, the best Czech competitors Lukáš Gdula, Vít Hlaváč, Martin Nedvídek, Anežka Drahotová, Zuzana Schindlerová, Lucie Pelantová, participants in the Olympic Games and of course the whole other Czech and Slovak pedestrian community, competing with the top international competition of competitors from Slovakia, Poland, Lithuania, Italy, etc. The race is also attended by one of the best current pedestrians in the world, Olympic winner and world champion Matej Tóth from Slovakia. We place great emphasis on the student and adolescent categories in order to support the interest in walking of our youngest generation, so that it becomes the engine of the development of sport in our society.

The race track is run in Smetanovy sady, on an ideal, straight and at the same time certified circuit, according to the rules of ČAS and IAAF, where it is possible to achieve world performances and limits for major international events such as the Olympic Games, World Championships or Europe.

Near the track is the hotel Flora, which offers ideal accommodation. Another hotel was opened this year. The city of Olomouc has connections to the international airports of Vienna, Brno, Bratislava and Ostrava.

As for the organizational side of the races, it is provided by the local athletic club, which has extensive experience in organizing the Czech Championships, the Czech Championships 22, the Pupils' Championships, the All-Around Championships, the Municipal Championships, but also major world events in the form of the World Championships for the Disabled.

The general partner of the event is the company SMOLA KONSTRUKCE Ltd
