The 1st year was held on September 8, 2013 at the school playground in Prague - Na Petřiny on a 250m tartan (retired, moss-covered) track. The women's Lenka Borovičková (10.418m) and the men's Josef Smola (10.936m) became the first ever winners of the time trial. The next two years (2nd and 3rd year) in 2014 and 2015 were again held at the same place in Prague, Na Petřiny. From the 4th year of 2016, the venue of the race moved to Prague's Stromovka on the tartan 400m track in the Olymp Prague complex. At the same time, since 2016, the race has become an international meeting and pedestrian holiday - the only pedestrian race of its kind held in the capital of the Czech Republic. Until the 7th year of the race in 2019, the venue of the meeting remained Prague's Stromovka and the Olymp Prague complex. In 2020, unfortunately, the 8th annual meeting could not take place due to the Covid pandemic, and it was postponed to 2021 at the AC Rumburk athletics stadium due to the ongoing uncertain situation caused by the restrictions of the Covid pandemic.

DSC 0611However, since last year 2022, the 9th edition of the meeting is returning to Prague again - this time to the AC Praha 1890 stadium with a new 250m tartan track.

So this year we are celebrating the jubilee 10th anniversary of the meeting at the AC Prague 1890 stadium, perhaps fatefully precisely because he started in this small and humble athletic department Josef Smola in 1980 under guidance to this day, the irreplaceable legendary coach and former very successful pedestrian Josef Průcha a respectable pedestrian career that continues to this day (ie already 43 years!).

At the birth of the 1st year of the Prague Pedestrian Clock and its the founders were Master PETR BRANDEJSKÝ, engineer PETR ADAM and MIREK FLIEGL. From the 4th grade in 2016, he was involved in organizing the race organizationally and especially financially Josef Smola with his company SMOLA KONSTRUKCE and an international meeting was established. After the end of the 5th year in 2017, there was an evaluation of the situation and the withdrawal of Mirko Fliegl and Petr Adam from co-organization of the meeting, which essentially threatened its demise. Therefore, since 2018 (6th year), Josef Smola took over the organization of the race alone in an effort to keep the meeting at a level and possibly improve it even more. With great effort, enthusiasm and great organizational support AC Rumburk and especially Honzy Reina in 2018 - 2021 really succeeded. As already mentioned, since last year's 9th year (2022) he has been the organizer of the meeting AC Praha 1890 under the baton of František Zouhar and Kateřina Kautská and remains the general sponsor and partner SMOLA KONSTRUKCE s.r.o. Petr Adam did not return to organizing the meeting, but he continues to provide the necessary technical background with his company RENTIA (tents, tables, etc.).
