The Presidium of the Czech Athletics Association approved the expedition for the World Championships, which will be hosted by Budapest from August 19 to 27. We will be represented in walking by Eliška Martínková on the 20km course and Tereza Ďurdiaková on the 35km course.

Walkers Eliška Martínková and Tereza Ďurdiaková will taste the atmosphere of the World Championships for the second time. While the first-named would certainly like to follow up on last year's debut or the current silver medal from the Universiade on the 20 km track in Budapest, her colleague on the 35 km will certainly want to improve the result from Eugene, where she did not finish. Martínková starts at the WC as a wild card.
