Anežka Drahotová should retroactively become the European Under-23 European Champion in 2015. She should be entitled to the gold medal after the doping of the 2015 winner, Marie Ponomarjová, is revealed.

Prague watch 2018 2380The only conqueror of Anežka Drahotová from the Russian Tallinn Championship, Marija Ponomarjová, received a four-year distance from doping and lost her results on July 8, 2015.

In Tallinn, pedestrians walked 20 km two days later, Drahotova lost to Ponomarova by eight seconds.

Twenty-three-year-old Drahotová should thus win the third big youth gold after the triumphs at the 2013 Junior European Championships and the Junior World Championships a year later. The collection already has bronze and silver from senior European championships.

According to a report by the Russian Athletics Federation, sprinter Alexandra Stepanov also received a four-year distance.
