This World Championship in walking competitions was dominated by CHINA, which won a total of 2 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze and JAPAN, which won 2 gold !!!   

The Japanese, this time Toshikazu YAMANISHI, became the World Champion as well as in his 20s as well as in his 1s. In contrast to the complete domination of China in women, Europeans prevailed in men, all well known to us from Poděbrady in the order of location: MIZINOV, KARLSTRÖM, LINKE.
