Eliška Martínková and Jarda Morávek set personal records for the 5km at the open Bavarian Road Walking Championship right at the first start for Pitch WALK PRAGUE!

IMG 2636A total of 34 sports clubs took part in the Bavarian Open Walking Championship, including PRAGUE WALKING PRAGUE, which received an invitation from the organizer of the local athletics club. SPVGG NIEDERAICHBACH 1947. The main organizer of the event is a local pedestrian matador and enthusiast Gerhard Langner. They raced on a 1km technically demanding, but well-prepared circuit leading through the town of Niederaichbach. The start and finish were located in front of the local town hall. The race had an excellent atmosphere, an excellent moderator and the weather was at least partially "wise".

PRAGUE WALKING PRAGUE jersey was worn for the first time Eliška Martínková (2nd place, personal record, 26: 08min) and Jarda Morávek (1st place, personal record 23: 43min) and they certainly did not disgrace, on the contrary, both of them set personal records for a 5km walk on the road and their approach showed that there is definitely something to build on in the future. Eliška finished in her category in a great second place in the personal record at the 5km walk 26: 08min and Jarda also set a new personal record with a performance of 23: 43min! Both of them were not afraid of the initial agreed pace of the first kilometer (Eliška 5: 05min, Jarda 4: 33min), even though they paid a little extra for him in the end, but this is how to race!

In the main 10km race, it was not about the victory of the German national team Hagena Pohle (47: 42min) doubt as well as second place Steffen Borsche (52: 35min) however, a big quartet fight was fought for third place Uwe Schröter (3rd place in 53: 19min), Josef Smola (4th place in 54: 17min), Steffen Meyer (5th place in 54: 55min), Wolfgang Scholz (6th place in 56: 55min)In the end, Uwe Schröter won the bronze for himself, the remaining trio in 4th-6th place fought each other up to 8,5 km, and only there was a final decision on the unpopular potato medal for Pep.
