Italian pedestrian Eleonora Giorgio defended the championship with an overview of the Poděbrady Walking meeting and with a time of 1:27:46 hours improved the track record of the twenty-kilometer race from last year by 43 seconds. Anežka Drahotová did not follow last year's fifth place and finished fifteenth. She won the Czech title in 1:35:43, which was more than a minute behind her maximum this year.

Giorgio repeated the championship from the previous year as the first woman in the history of the meeting and ranked fifth in this year's world tables. She won completely confidently with a lead of more than two and a half minutes over the Mexican Alegna Gonzálezová, the third place went to Mirna Ortizová from Guatemala.

European Vice-Champion Drahotová dominated the Czech Championships for the third time in a row. She also has titles in 2014, when she became the overall winner of the Poděbrady race, and in 2015. Veronika Janošíková finished second with almost a quarter of an hour, bronze belongs to Štěpánka Pohlová Kučerová.

Gdula, who also defended his title on the main track of 50 km in Dudince in March, became the Czech champion in his twenties for the fourth time in a row. Last year's placement behind him was also repeated by Vít Hlaváč and Tomáš Hlavenka.
