Czech Youth Walking Hall Championship:  RESULTS - FROM DE

The championship races, except for the category of pupils, in which the clearly leading pedestrian was disqualified, were won by the expected favorites; in addition to the junior winner, however, they lagged behind their performances this year. A total of 45 Czech pedestrians and one guest from Slovakia, the champion of the Slovak Republic in the men's category junior Kováč, took part in the start (personal record for 5 m around 000:20 min). The jury led by the former 30 km champion of the Czech Republic JUDr. Simon paid attention to compliance with the rules, which was paid by 50 pedestrians (rule 6a - loss of contact or unbuttoned knee) and 230.7 pedestrian (leaving the track - rule 1). There may be different views on the correctness of disqualification, but the fact is that improving walking technique is necessary throughout the racing career. In the junior and juniors' 163.6 m race, the referees at the finish line (not the walking judges) failed to count the laps, which was paid for by the junior Hurdálek (who went one lap less), who was already in third place before Balicz at the time. .

Category of students Katka Nedvídková from Rumburk dominated the 3 m (000 starters) 10 seconds ahead of her training partner, the excellent younger student Adéla Veselková (50). Co-Bavarian Kliment of Sternberg did not have a day; stayed over 2006 seconds behind her time and had to do something to defend the bronze medal from another surprise, Mladá Boleslav Lucie Krinwaldová (year 70), who parted the race too boldly (the first km in 2005:5 minutes), but the fight until the end he paid her. Half of the pedestrians improved their personal records, while some were disappointed with their performance.

Categories of students at 3000 m (6 pedestrians) had big problems with technology. The leading favorite, Roman Hanyk from Turnov, paid for them with a big lead, disqualification, from which Patrik Solnička and Matěj Šturma from Mladá Boleslav were not far away, who then took the first two places. The bronze medal was won by Vojtěch Novák, the best younger pupil in style (year 2006) from Frýdek-Místek in a nice personal record.

Category of adolescents at 3 m (000 walkers) was a clear affair of Eliška Martínková from Turnov - she won without much effort with a lead of more than 10 m. Of the three pursuers, Denková from Chomutov and Amalie Mynářová from Frýdek-Místek in the end remained in the end, who shared the remaining medals in this order; the unpopular fourth place was left to Anna Machačová from Vítkovice. Denisa Pánková from Frýdek-Místek and Vivien Uvírová from Porub improved their personal records among others.

image00005image00026Categories of adolescents at 5 m (000 pedestrians) brought a big fight not only with the times, but also with the technique and the judges, similarly to the pupils. Jaromír Morávek from Brno, now a student of SG Jilemnice with coach Piták, won the best record in the personal record. The silver medal is probably a disappointment for Adam Zajíček's biggest favorite and the third Daniel Balicz from Mladá Boleslav certainly expected a better performance. Jan Poruba from Vítkovice finished fourth in just under 7:29 minutes, two teenagers were disqualified.

Junior category at 3 m (000 pedestrians) Sabina Bočková from Opava in the Hodonín jersey dominated with 5 with a lead over Veronika Fürstová from Rumburk and a significantly improved other charge of Malysa coach Michaela Baklíková in the ŠKODA Plzeň jersey.

Junior category at 5 m (000 pedestrians) the Slovak Daniel Kováč revived, but he was soon disqualified when his technique - a very short frequency step - failed the judges. The favored Rostislav Rožnovský Vítkovice then calmly ran for the gold medal (4 s behind the personal record) with 90 ahead of the second Petr Dušek from Rumburk (personal indoor record 70: 24 min); the bronze medal was not awarded, as Filip Kašťovský from Poruba was also disqualified. What conclusions can be drawn from the results of the championship race? Firstly, the technique of walking is the absolute basis, secondly, the most successful are competitors from sections in which a large number of them are led by a qualified coach / coaches (Rumburk, Frýdek-Místek, Mladá Boleslav, Opava-coach Malysa), thirdly, that talent for walking is everywhere, but it is still not possible to convince officials at all levels that walking is an equivalent athletic discipline that needs to be part of regular athletic competitions in the youth category (that this has an effect, confirmed by winning 24.17 out of 8 possible medals, of which 17 out of 3 gold, for pedestrians of the Liberec KAS, where these competitions have been taking place for several years).
